Training and Placement Cell

Training & Placement Cell has an important role to play in a student’s future. This cell continuously strives to help students in pursuing their career goals by acquiring employment-seeking skills and ultimately to attain desired employment. This is accomplished through building a strong partnership amongst students, alumni, faculty-members and industries. Poompuhar College follows centralized placement activity which gives each branch equal opportunity to grow for sustained excellence in career through training & placement. Towards this, a Training and Placement Cell has been established with the following major objectives in order to assist students to develop their academic and career interests, and help them in achieving their short-term and long-term goals through individual counseling and group discussion.

Mission:

• To bridge the gap from campus to corporate
• To enhance the employability of the students and provide carrier opportunities.
• To build confidence among the students and get ready for the job by preparing aptitude tests, presentations, communication skills and mock interviews.
• To equip competence among the students through internship ,certifications and pre placement training.
• Aim to mould the students so as to meet the industry expectations in career building and in turn bring laurels to the parent internships, certifications and placement training.

Objective:

• To establish a strong industry connect in order to provide internship and placement opportunities.
• To train students on aptitude, soft skills and technical skills as per industry demands
• To groom students with proper goal setting and create awareness amongst students regarding future career options.
